Rental Terms and Conditions – Overview

FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ALL RENTAL EQUIPMENT FROM CONSAM LTD

The Equipment supplied to the hirer for either short term or long-term hire remains the property of Consam Ltd until its return and off hire.

All prices quoted for Long Term Rental are deemed to be for a period of 12 months(unless otherwise agreed in writing).

The hirer is responsible for looking after all hire equipment and for ensuring its safe return back to Consam in the same condition as received

At the end of the hire period.

The hirer will be responsible for the insurance of the hired equipment. Consam will not provide any “insurance”.

The hirer will be responsible for the care of the hired equipment whilst in use, until its return back to Consam Ltd, all lost, stolen or damaged

equipment will be charged for at the present-day value replacement costs, which the hirer must pay.  

The hirer’s responsibility includes any return courier arranged and paid for by the hirer, for example, if the hirer uses a cheap, uninsured and

Un trackable delivery service to return £1000 or more of hired equipment, and the parcel disappears en route, the hirer is responsible for re-imbursing

Consam for the lost equipment, we would recommend using a well-known and reputable courier service and taking out all required insurance.

It is the hirer’s responsibility to notify us upon receipt of their hired equipment if anything is missing, or if it is damaged or is not working.

This should be done as soon as the hirer receives and unpacks the equipment, to ensure that we know that the damage was not caused by the hirer.

Our maximum liability to you is what you paid to us for the equipment hire.

If for any reason the hired equipment does not perform to the hirer’s satisfaction, then we may choose to refund the cost to the hirer, but we cannot

be held responsible for any other costs that the hirer may incur.

If the hirer fails to return the hired equipment by the agreed date, the hirer agrees to pay for the ongoing hire charges until the equipment is returned.

This may be taken using any payment card details supplied to pay for the initial hire of the equipment.

We won’t be unreasonable over slightly late returns, but if a week’s hire ends up being two weeks, then we will charge for the extra hire period.

We reserve the right to request suitable ID with required deposit before hiring out any radio equipment.
